Ask our Reservationists about two days for the price of one admission tickets to the Monterey Bay Aquarium when you book this home!

One of Pacific Grove’s most celebrated historic homes - just a short walk from downtown, the beach, and the monarch butterfly groves - allows you to host your large family gatherings in the gracious style of a bygone era.

The 5-bedroom, 4.5-bath home with distant ocean views has been restored and updated, keeping it's beautiful Victorian detailing while also adding modern conveniences. Built in 1880, it was the home of Pacific Grove’s first doctor, and is the recipient of a Heritage House Award.

Four bedrooms have en suite baths. High ceilings with crown moldings and vintage fixtures are just a few of the delights to be found in the 2,900-square-foot home. The décor is a mixture of antique and contemporary style, enhanced by original artwork and hardwood floors throughout.

The pet-friendly home is within a few blocks of charming downtown Pacific Grove and its galleries, shops and restaurants. Also an easy walk to the beach and Monterey Bay Recreation Trail. Nearby are Pebble Beach, Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row.

Upon your arrival you will be greeted with complimentary cheese and wine or sparkling cider, tickets for a wine tasting at Scheid Vineyards’ tasting room in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, spa robes and beach gear with everything you need for a day at the beach including chairs, blankets, towels, umbrella and cooler.

The bright blue Victorian house is set off by a white picket fence.

Inside, the first floor features a living room with a bay window that looks out on the street, and a gas fireplace surrounded by cozy contemporary-style sofas and upholstered chairs, the perfect place for conversation, reading, or watching the large HDTV above the fireplace.

Also on this floor are a half-bath and a small bedroom with a queen-size Murphy bed, in addition to the dining room, kitchen, laundry room and the front master bedroom suite.

The dining room includes seating for 10 and is located next to the large fully-equipped kitchen with a walk-in pantry, brick veneer walls and modern appliances, including an antique-look gas stove and an island made from a vintage buffet. Leaded glass windows over the double sink offer a glimpse of the garden outside.

French doors on the other side of the dining room open onto the patio, where a gourmet gas grill and patio seating make this an ideal place for backyard barbecues and enjoying cocktails in the evening.

The front master bedroom suite features ocean views in the distance, as well as a king bed and a twin sleeper sofa, and a gas fireplace with vintage oak surround and mantle. A seating area and HDTV make it a comfortable space for resting and relaxing. The large en suite bath includes a walk-in closet, antique vanity with two sinks, and shower with dual shower heads.

The rear master bedroom also has a king bed, twin sleeper sofa, TV and spacious en suite bath with dual vanities and walk in closet.

At the top of the stairs, a kid’s space with a full-size daybed and HDTV is perfect for hanging out and enjoying ocean views through the window.

Upstairs, the fourth and fifth bedrooms each feature king beds that convert to two twins, HDTVs, and en suite baths. Upstairs bedrooms are also accessible through a private second exterior staircase at the rear of the house.

*All vehicles must park directly in front of the home or on Lighthouse Ave. Two garage spaces for smaller vehicles are available. Three car maximum - carpooling recommended.

"It was charming, very clean and had plenty of room for 7 of us. The beds were very comfortable and the location perfect. The property manager gave us a welcome call, which made us feel taken care of. It was quiet, even though it was on Lighthouse Ave. The oven/range pilot light may need some work: we couldn’t get the oven to light. But we didn’t need it, so we weren’t inconvenienced. All in all, I would highly recommend this house to anyone wanting to be close to restaurants and walkable to Monterey Bay Aquarium."

"We loved this property! We couldn't believe the amazing architecture, detailed carvings, antique lighting, beautifully decorated this home. It was much better than the pictures! The location was ideal--walking distance to Lover's Point and to many great restaurants. We walked to the Aquarium, too and enjoyed the mother and baby seals along the way. The layout fit our family perfectly--rooms were large, clean, and fully appointed. Wonderful bedding, fireplaces, and bathrooms en-suite. We were able to choose between having a king bed or two twin beds--we picked the twins for our teenagers' room. The kitchen appeared historic but was really state of the art--the stove looked antique but was modern. Even had a warming drawer and walk in pantry. The balcony was great to sit on and enjoy the neighborhood. All rooms had high ceilings, crown molding, carvings, light dimmers. Had an amazing Italian dinner at La Mia Cucina 4 blocks away for our daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner. The property management was great to work with! We called several times for recommendations and they were responded promptly with great ideas! We would definitely stay here again."

"Great home with history. Well maintained. Great house, very cool history. We found the "secret cellar" and just had to take some photos. Very cool addition to our stay. Beds were super comfy and everybody had space if they needed it. Inside, outside, we hung out just about everywhere when we had limited downtime. The only downer, we stayed in the main bedroom/bathroom was we were left with only one washcloth. But's that's on us.....we didn't call to ask for more and we could have. Parking was a bit of a hassle as well, but nothing can be done. Clear instructions to get to the home, get in the home and there were extra keys once inside. Should we come back to the area we would for sure stay here."

"Extra special, spacious, unique, and GORGEOUS Victorian by the sea with all the perks!!  Nestled in the heart of downtown Pacific Grove, it's a perfect location for getting anywhere around the Monterey Peninsula in 10-15 minutes. But why anyone would ever want to go outside is a mystery because this charming, elegantly-updated Victorian has it ALL. We rented this stunning home for our wedding weekend and had several couples and singles with room to spare. If you really need some fresh air (and the adorable patio isn't enough) walk across the street for breakfast at Toastie's (a neighborhood favorite) or coffee and smoothies at Juice and Java... there's no shortage of good food and unique shops full of everything from vintage antiques to fine art and jewelry. Again, the house itself has been superbly renovated and beautifully appointed. It's cozy but spacious and has everything you need to show up and have a wonderful time whether you're a party of two or ten. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. We'll certainly look forward to coming back to celebrate our anniversaries!"
