There’s nothing like being right in the heart of the magic of Carmel-by-the-Sea. This newly built upper-story flat is right across the street from the multi-award-winning restaurant Aubergine, 2 blocks from Doris Day’s famous Cypress Inn, and just three blocks from Carmel Beach. It is also an easy walk to Carmel’s famous art galleries, boutiques and fine dining along Ocean Avenue, as well as live theater at the Golden Bough Playhouse.

This home sits at the border of the downtown Carmel area meets the residential area in the prime location of the Golden Rectangle. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath flat is also just 10 minutes by car from golf and shopping in Pebble Beach, seeing the vintage Victorian homes and Monarch butterflies of Pacific Grove, and experiencing historic Cannery Row and the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Being inside this residence is just as enjoyable as being out on the town. Views of the ocean and Point Lobos through the trees can be seen from the sunroom and dining area, as well as the kitchen and large windows letting in abundant light to the 995-square-foot residence. The sophisticated décor with coastal accents makes it easy to relax, with a color palette of oceanic blues, bright whites and driftwood color scheme predominating, complemented by dark hardwood floors, plush rugs and artwork reflecting the beauty of the Monterey Bay.

All-new construction, energy-efficient windows and a radiant heating temperature system keeps this dwelling cozy all year round. A modern gas fireplace provides a focal point for the living room, where a sectional sofa provides a perfect spot for visiting, playing games, or watching the 55-inch HDTV.

Upon your arrival you will be greeted with complimentary cheese and wine or sparkling cider, tickets for a wine tasting at Scheid Vineyards’ tasting room just a few blocks away, and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, spa robes and beach gear with everything you need for a day at the beach including chairs, blankets, towels, umbrella and cooler.

A sheltered outdoor seating area greets guests at the entrance to the flat, which is accessed by a private stairway, and has large ocean views perfect for happy hour time or morning coffee.

The flat includes a sunroom filled with wall-to-wall windows and French doors, with a Serena & Lily Avalon daybed, perfect for naps, daydreams, and lazy afternoons. This daybed provides an additional sleeping option for one person, and a small table and chairs next to the west-facing windows is perfect for breakfast, sunsets or writing. Information on local sights and history that can be found on adjacent bookshelves.

The dining area features a beautiful designed table with seating for six, as well as three swivel bar seats at the adjacent kitchen counter. The kitchen has all-new stainless steel appliances including a Jenn-Air convection oven and a Keurig coffee maker, enhanced by white subway tile, quartz composite countertops and a deep sink with pull-out faucet. A white sideboard with a large collection of wine and liquor glasses is ideal for entertaining needs.

The master bedroom features a queen bed with luxury linens, a headboard, and dual nightstands. The en suite bath includes a tub/shower combo and custom stone tile. A second bedroom also features a queen bed, and the other bath in the hallway includes a glass-enclosed shower and hexagonal floor tiles. Both bedrooms have HDTVs.

A convenient laundry area in the hallways features a stacked Bosch washer and dryer, and a back staircase leads to a fully fenced-in garden area with a bench and gas grill.

Parking for one vehicle is available in the driveway.

Small non-barking dogs will be considered. Separate pet fees apply.
