Sanctuary began when Annee and her husband, David—a local architect—rented out their own home after the 2008 housing crash. Word spread quickly, and what started as a creative outlet turned into a thriving business built on hospitality, warmth, and attention to detail.
Annee's vision for Sanctuary includes special touches like a bottle of local wine to greet each guest. Homes are fully furnished and thoughtfully stocked, so visitors need only bring their suitcases.
Sanctuary Vacation Rentals is a member of the Vacation Rental Management Association and serves on the board of the Monterey County Vacation Rental Alliance. The company is a passionate advocate for the vacation rental industry and a leading voice in local efforts to support responsible short-term rental practices.
