What a wonderful home! The upstairs master suites and guest parlor were so spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the upstairs in home sound system and wished the downstairs system was functional. Great kitchen, dining, and living area. The fenced backyard was great for our two canine travelers. Some items like the outdoor cushions and the living room chairs are showing signs of wear but not to the point of any negative review....yet. Some minor electrical items still needed attention when we departed but this is an ocean air environment - we are sure they will eventually be taken care of. Our new car appreciated the garage space. It was great to see so many Monarchs flitting around the flowers and we enjoyed so much watching the hummingbirds in their nest in the tree outside the oceanside master. Thank you for a wonderful month!

Wonderful Month at Otters Rest

Our month long vacation in Pacific Grove at Otters Rest was just perfect! The home is ideally located about two blocks from the ocean in a super friendly beautiful neighborhood. We have always loved the Beach Tract area and this was the perfect retreat.
The home is spacious with a well equipped kitchen and plenty of room for 4-6 people (or more) to spread out. My husband is an avid golfer and loved just walking a couple of blocks to the PG public course, we enjoyed daily walks along the bay, ate an PG's great restaurants, saw a couple of great movies at the Lighthouse Theater in town and popped over to Carmel a couple of times.
We couldn't have had a more enjoyable stay, and Sanctuary Vacation Rentals was great to work with. We will definitely book again!

Otter’s Rest in Pacific Grove is a marvelous house. Three bedrooms, three full baths. Spacious living room and superb kitchen, with a lovely dining room. Outdoor grill, hot tub, fire pit, and more. All in a great location! Walk a quiet block to the ocean! We had a family reunion there (3 siblings and their spouses) and couldn’t have had a better time!

Just got back from a 5 day trip from Otter's Rest. Amazing experience. Just a few steps away from the beach. Very quiet and deer every night and morning. Very spacious home with plenty of room to roam around and relax. Will be coming back again soon.

I have given feedback on the form provided at the residence. We did enjoy our stay as we always do, having stayed at Otter's Rest at least six times.
Small issues: lack of a chest of drawers in first floor bedroom, duraflame logs when there was wood before. Otter's Rest overall is a wonderful vacation destination.

Respite and reunion by the sea

Five of us women from the class of '66 met for a week of creating wonderful memories. Otter's Rest was an ideal spot for doing this. The house, its amenities, especially the fire pit and hot tub, were the ideal place for our gathering. Beautiful, quiet, clean and comfortable.

Six of us stayed for 5 days over Christmas. Perfect weather, cooperative whales and otters, fantastic house. Peppers Mexican Restaurant featured Clint Eastwood dining at the same time we were there. The house was PERFECT for our needs.
Everything worked except ice maker...and it would have been good if the mgmt had turned the refrigerator up to normal temp b4 our arrival so we didn't have to discover by accident that ice cream was melting. We loved the heated floors...and will definitely return in the future. Wonderful piece of property, and even a friendly neighbor who cheerfully and trustingly loaned us a piece of kitchen equipment we'd forgotten to bring along.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, plenty of room for 7 adults. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our Thanksgiving meal. We were especially impressed with the attention to detail -- flashlight, extra batteries, pens, notepads, all the "little things" that help to complete our stay. We look forward to another visit in the future.

Lovely Home in Pacific Grove

We had a great experience at this home. The kitchen was huge and well stocked with all the necessary amenities, well appointed bathrooms (nice plush towels, Trader Joe's bath products a nice touch) and the beds were comfy. My one suggestion would be to add a new, larger sofa in the living room. The fire place was great, the lighting was awesome, but there was no place to really spread out with a good book. Otherwise it was one of the best vacation rentals we've stayed in.
