Ask our Reservationists about two days for the price of one admission tickets to the Monterey Bay Aquarium when you book this home!

Life’s a beach at this charming historic house in the heart of America’s Last Hometown, only a short walk to the bay, the Monterey Peninsula Recreation Trail, and shopping and dining in downtown Pacific Grove.

Perfectly situated for surfers, kayakers and beachcombers, the blue-and-white 1,800-square-foot home built by Benjamin Barber in 1908 has been updated with whimsical coastal décor with a Hawaiian vibe, hardwood floors throughout and mini electric fireplaces in each bedroom. The back patio is an ideal gathering place for family and friends, with a ping-pong table, fire pit, gourmet gas grill, and patio seating. Flexible sleeping arrangements can accommodate up to seven singles.

The 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath light-filled residence is located close to many area attractions and is only a few minutes from downtown Monterey, Fisherman’s Wharf and the Monterey Bay Aquarium, 10 minutes from Carmel-by-the-Sea and Pebble Beach and 45 minutes from the natural wonders of Big Sur.

Upon your arrival you will be greeted with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine or sparkling cider, tickets for a wine tasting at Scheid Vineyards’ tasting room in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, spa robes and beach gear.

The two-story home features a kitchen and dining area on the top level, as well as a living room, a small den and office space and many coastal touches such as sea life-themed art. Shells and starfish can be found throughout, with easy-care hardwood floors and tile countertops.

The kitchen offers stainless steel appliances, including a four-burner gas stove, and plenty of counter space; the dining table can be expanded to seat six. Space to work or answer email can be found in the office right off the kitchen, next to a seashore-themed half-bath.

The cozy living room features an electric fireplace and 48-inch HDTV, as well as a sleeper sofa that can accommodate two. The living room leads to a den with a dartboard and space for relaxing and reading as well as two single futon day couches. The semi-open floor plan makes it a great gathering space for family and friends.

The sheltered back patio also is ideal for enjoying afternoon barbecues or cocktails in the evening, with outdoor string lights, a fire pit and ping-pong table available in addition to a cabana tent and patio seating.

Bedrooms are located on the bottom level, with the master bedroom offering access to the patio and a separate entrance. The room features a queen bed with headboard, blue and white luxury bedding, a mini electric fireplace and 48-inch HDTV. The en suite bath includes a large mirror, single sink, and tub-shower combination.

Two other bedrooms share a hallway bath with glass enclosed shower and single sink. One bedroom has a single bed with a trundle, while the other has a daybed with pop-up trundle that converts to a king with a memory foam topper. Both bedrooms also offer HDTVs and mini electric fireplaces.

A stacked washer-dryer can also be found on this level. The back patio has room to store beach gear, and parking for up to two vehicles is available on the street.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome upon Owner approval.

"Nice! Clean! Good Vibes! Parking...  We were in town for a work convention, and our group was in and out a lot. This home seemed to be built for us! It is in the perfect location! Not too far from Monterey but far enough it was quiet. The only downfall is parking. I had a 15 Passenger van, and the darn neighbors would block me in, or we had to park a block away at times.... But what are you going to do when you park on the street.... overall a great location. House had good vibes. Parking sucks!"

"Can’t Wait To Come Back!  Can’t Wait To Come Back! My husband and I stayed here with our 2 grown sons and their wives. We stay in hotels fairly frequently, so we wanted somewhere more like "home". We rented this home and loved it! Everything we needed (and more) was thought of and provided from kitchen to bathroom. There is an awesome fire pit and gazebo we enjoyed with a glass of wine in the evening. The guest book had restaurant suggestions, locations of grocery stores, lists of Dr's and baby sitters. The beds are very comfortable and the neighborhood nice and quiet. I had the pleasure of running along the coastal trail every morning, and we could walk nearly everywhere in town. The aquarium and Cannery Row was less than a 15 minute walk. We will definitely stay here again. We highly recommend this property, you will be greatly impressed."

"The best vacation home in Pacific Grove, CA!!  This home is just a stone's throw away from beautiful Lover's Point and only a couple miles away from the world famous Cannery Row. If you are into bike riding it is only 3 miles down the coast to 17 mile drive or you can walk right into town with all of the shops and wonderful restaurants. At night, it is so quiet, you can hear a pin drop. The sunsets are breath taking and the ocean makes your camera seem like you are a professional photographer. I cannot wait for my family and I to rent this home again with its quaint patio, very relaxing, and private canopy and fireplace. The kitchen has everything you would expect at home and the rooms have the coolest space heaters I have ever seen. I cannot wait to go back."

"Beautiful home in the perfect location!I booked a week for my husband as a surprise birthday trip and couldn’t have been happier with this lovely home! We took our 2 adult kids and their spouses and had plenty of room. The house is close to everything, we walked to Cannery Row on 3 different days, had dinner at the International Cuisine which is a short walk from the house. My Husband and the boys went fishing on one day and the girls and I had messages in Carmel. The house has everything you could want and it’s as nice as or nicer than any luxury hotel. We BBQ’d in the backyard a couple of nights while relaxing next to the outside firepit with a glass of wine and we watched the sunset at Asilimar beach on a few evenings as well. "Beautiful Home! Perfect location!As soon as you walk into this home, everything is so crisp and clean! I absolutely love the décor! This is truly a perfect vacation rental, it's so close to everything. Downtown PG is just down the street, Lover's Point is a short walk away, we even walked to the Aquarium one afternoon. After a long day of being out in Cannery Row, the real treat is when you get back to the house. There is nothing like enjoying a nice gl  ass of wine by that fire pit. Everything you need is in this home, you don't ever have to leave. They have a nice selection of board games, a ping pong table, beach equipment....the list goes on and on. I think one of my favorite things about the house is that every room has its own fire heater. I get cold at night, so I loved having a warm cozy room to sleep in. The only down side to this amazing home is that when your trip ends, you don't want to leave. My fiancé and I have stayed at this home a couple times this year, and it definitely won't be our last. It's our favorite place to "get away".

“Fantastic Seaside Escape!  This wonderful vacation home has all the amenities we desired!  My husband and I spent four relaxing days in this beautiful home. "Top Notch Hope! We absolutely loved it! We hit the jackpot when we booked this home for our family vacation in Pacific Grove. We walked just about everywhere from Cannerey Row, The Monterey Bay Aquarium, Lovers Point, the beaches to all the great restaurants in downtown Pacific Grove. The house is wonderfully decorated with an awesome backyard firepit and gazebo. We can't wait to come back and we'll definitely be booking this home again!"
