September 2023 - Sea Salt Caramel

We had a wonderful time in Carmel for the month od September 2023. The home leased through Sanctuary Vacation Rental was perfect. The updated kitchen and bathrooms were very nice and the home easily accomodated our group of 6 adults. Fabulous views of the Carmel Highlands with many windows all around.
The House Manager was responsive to several small issues which were resolved immediately.
Overall a great experience - this is the 3rd year we have worked with Sanctuary Vacation Rentals and we will continue to use the company as our preferred source for stays in Carmel. The Staff and the General Manager are
are wonderful and very customer focused.

Sea Salt and Caramel

Our stay at Sea Salt and Caramel worked out jut fine. The location is perfect for anyone looking for quiet, walks to the beach, and lots of light. Nice for two singles or a family of four. Tight for four adults or more. A nice, downstairs guest suite provides extra privacy. Beautiful backyard, pretty to look at, less so for anything else. It worked well for two adults and a Doodle.

Perfect Home Away From Home

Overall Comment
This was my second month long stay in this lovely house. And I have already rented it again for next year! What is not to love. The location is quiet and removed from the often times congested downtown area, yet close enough to stroll into town whenever you want. I call this house “my treehouse” because the views from the living room and kitchen make me feel like I’m resting in treetops looking out over the hills in the Carmel River area. Sanctuary staff were always attentive and very helpful. The house was clean and very comfy. Can’t recommend it enough.

Excellent Home for Small Family

The home is as good or better than the pictures! My wife and I travelled with our twin 3-year old's and it was the perfect setup. The downstairs was great for the kids to play while the adults could enjoy upstairs. The house was spotless on arrival and the housekeeping service was excellent for the duration.
The house is about a 12-15 minute walk to Ocean Avenue or 15 minute walk to the beach (Carmel River State Beach). There is also a wonderful elementary school within a 10 minute walk with two playgrounds for children.
Overall, we were thrilled with the house, the location, and overall experience. Would book again!

We had a superb stay at Sea Salt and Caramel. Location of this home is perfect, tucked away in a pretty quiet street, but just a beautiful short stroll to the beach, and a few blocks to all the restaurants, shops and cafes of Ocean Avenue and downtown Carmel. The historic Mission Inn (one of my favorite brunch spots in the country) is a couple blocks away. The home itself WOW! Bright, open concept in the main living area that allowed us to take in the amazing views of the rolling hills as we sipped our morning coffee from the balcony every morning. Home is well appointed and well stocked. Host was wonderful to work with, felt welcome from beginning to end. We are frequent visitors to Carmel and this was one of our best stays, in large part to these amazing digs!! We hope to be back soon.

This place is amazing, elegant and comfortable at the same time. Newly remodeled with no detail spared. The open concept joining the kitchen, living room, and deck make this ideal for family gatherings or entertaining. The kitchen is stocked with with every imaginable item for preparing and serving all types of food and drinks. Use the fresh herbs growing on the deck! Bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely, very comfortable and well appointed. Best of all is the location! Very short walk to the beach, great wineries and restaurants! We’ll be back, many times!

I Loved My Stay In This Beautiful Home!

I loved my stay in this beautiful home! Smartly remodeled with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms - a rarity of space for this neighborhood! Short walk to the ocean and to shopping and restaurants. Excellent location! The kitchen is a gorgeous remodel. The windows bring in so much natural light and accentuate the serene Carmel Valley view of rolling green hills and trees. The deck is conveniently located right off the family room and allows you to enjoy the view all day - high above the neighbors - so no obstruction. The house comes with a large backyard and multiple outdoor sitting areas - a distinct advantage in this community. The street is quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend a vacation in this lovely home and neighborhood.
