The Forever home was a wonderful vacation retreat with my husband, ,daughters and son in laws. The home met our expectations - a perfect getaway for a family reunion. The panoramic views of the pacific were beautiful. Every morning I would be the early bird playing Clair de lune and sipping my cup of earl cup. We wined and dined in the Carmel area and BIG SUR - truthfully the most beautiful area in the country.THANK YOU for your beautiful home.

When we first arrived it was foggy/ hazy but the next morning when we woke up and looked out from a wall of windows, the views were “Wow”! The house itself was nice and adequate for our needs and the rental management company responded immediately to a couple of small issues, offering to come out same day to fix the items. I would definitely recommend staying here for the amazing views!!

The property did not disappoint! Beautiful views and a great location to visit Big Sur Carmel and Monterey! A well stocked kitchen but the stove was not working really well. Even with that I would definitely stay here again!

Amazing view and great location. Water went off on last day - we later learned that utility company was doing routine service and it quickly restored water. In the interim, we received 2 calls from Sanctuary, an excellent response.

The house was located in a private area above the Carmel Highlands ocean area. The kitchen was light and well supplied with cookware. We hated to leave after 3 lovely nights.

gorgeous view, great location

We had three couple staying at Forever Views II - ourselves and our two adult children and their SO’s. It was plenty roomy.
We were attending a wedding just up the street at Carmel Highlands Inn, so the location was perfect. Quick to get to Carmel as well.
The only thing we came across was a shortage of pots for cooking - one big one and one small one, and that was it. We didn’t do many meals there during our stay, so it wasn’t a big deal.

The view from the house and the deck outside to enjoy that view, were absolutely lovely. House was spacious with everything you needed. Property management firm was very responsive - we had an issue with the dishwasher that was fixed the very next morning.

stunning home and gorgeous backdrop

This home is beautiful, and its setting is truly stunning. The views of the trees and ocean are expansive. Home was comfortably decorated, though a connected sofa sectional would be better than the modular one with multiple pieces that kept moving apart and had to be pushed together. We cooked, dined, and played board games in the beautiful and functional spaces. Bedrooms were cozy.
We have two pieces of feedback. First, the wifi needs updating. It was frustratingly slow and practically defunct at times. Second, we called the property management company once to let them know that coffee machine wasn't working (and that they never stocked it with non decaf coffee), and no one did anything about it or made any attempt to make things right. They also didn't let us know that pest control was going to visit, and the car blocked us in unexpectedly in the morning. Overall it was a great experience and we'd book again!

Great views, neighborhood is amazing, nice and quite. Patio is perfect for views of sunset and whales (if lucky). Wild life all around, bird life is very diverse. Convenient for the entire peninsula. Overall a great place to escape to.

We loved every minute of our stay at this very beautiful home. Very private, peaceful and a joy to be in. It is away from the congestion in Carmel but close enough that driving to Carmel daily was not an issue ever.
The pictures of the space are reflective of what it looks like, it has a large open view of the ocean in the distance and the sound of the ocean can be heard from the house. The layout of the home is spacious feeling and open.
The property was clean and well maintained. A few items at the beginning needed some attention and the people at Sanctuary Homes did everything they could to resolve as quickly as possible, the customer service was excellent.
This is our second time at this property and cannot wait to come back in the future for more time spent here.
We enjoyed attending a concert at the Sunset Cultural Center, loved driving the coast line from Pacific Grove to the beginning of HIway 1, we loved Big Sur and Point Lobos and our favorite restaurant is always Mission Ranch Inn, we love visiting Carmel Beach, Carmel Valley and kayaking in the Monterey Bay and the Elkhorn Slough.
A special mention to Tejido shop in Carmel and Carmel Valley. Just a beautiful store (among many of course) that should be on everyones list. this store just felt the best of all of them and felt so authentic and a "not made in China" store./
If you are at all inclined for a great resistance, strength and cardio training session, Pure Barre at Crossroads will keep you strong and fit during your stay. It is the best Carmel has to offer in that area.
Our visit to Carmel was in 2 words: magical and enchanting. Forever Views II was certainly a large part of that experience. Thank you to all who made it possible.

cute home in the carmel highlands

The house has a great view, the internet is strong, big TV has a great picture. Working remote in CA for a month to take advantage of the time difference and get out in the sunshine after the east coast work day ends. The house is well situated to explore trails in Big Sur and Point Lobos, Carmel River State Beach, Carmel Beach, Asilomar, 17 mi drive and the Pacific Grove/Monterey coastal trail. The house is comfortable and the shower in the master bath rocks. The kitchen is a little dated and the mattresses and bedding could be better. You are out of area for cell signal and so the internet being strong matters. We lost power one night while we were there and the number of flashlights and lanterns in the house suggests this isn't uncommon. When the power is out you do lose internet and are really cut off. It was only for one night and was a fun little adventure but it would be a drag for a longer time period. If this happens a lot and the owners are serious about renting they might think about putting in a generator. Overall we had a great visit and enjoyed the house and location.

The photos perfectly reflect the actual look of the property! We loved the "Big Sur" vibe. The front patio was our "home" having a front row seat to the ocean. The house is far enough above Hwy 1 to not hear it - only distant waves.
I'm conflicted about the property - 90% was perfect. However, for a 30 day visit, there is not a comfortable seat in the house. The master bedroom bed is very uncomfortable and very creaky. The platform bed was just not right - and the room is certainly large enough for a king - don't skimp with an hard queen bed. I could not return if this bed is still there. I encourage the owners to evaluate this and the limited seating and small sofa. There is not enough seating for 6 people - even 4 people. There are only 4 small patio chairs and the home cries for amazing patio seating front and back. Except for the terrible bed, we loved this home and location!
I loved not being in the middle of the hub bub of Carmel proper - but was very close to pop to for some meals and shopping. We ate most meals in other towns like Pacific Grove and Carmel Valley. Our favorite spot was Sur Restaurant in the Barnyard right up the street off of Rio Road. Our favorite lunch was at Nepenthe in Big Sur - a stunning drive. We played golf 10 times at many courses. We couldn't get the Apple TV to work and the company quickly sent out a person to locate the little remote and get things running. The TV is stunning! The professional landscaping is so colorful and natural and hosts many birds, butterflies and animals. The kitchen is fully stocked and was fun to use. The rock shower is amazing.
This is a very cool property that just needs a bit more finish out. Upgrade the seating and bedding/sheets, and this would be the best home we have ever rented. I hope we get to return.

The property and the location were terrific. We had a good experience. The quality of the furnishings and accessories were below expectations. For example, the coffee maker was old and impossible to work so we ended up buying a new Keurig, and there were no blow dryers available so we bought a blow dryer. We left both items there for future guests. However, the location and the set up of the house more than made up for the above described deficiencies.
