Located in the heart of downtown Pacific Grove, it’s easy to park your car and walk everywhere - to dining, shopping, nearby Lovers Point and the popular Recreation Trail which borders the bay.

The 2 bedroom plus den, 2.5-bath condo is located on the fourth floor NW corner of the historic Holman Building. The building, originally a famous department store founded in 1918, was frequently visited by legendary author John Steinbeck, who purchased his writing materials and household items there. The home is named “Of Mice and Men” after one of Steinbeck’s stories.

The 2,250-square-foot vacation home is within walking distance of the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. Also close by are the world-class golf courses and restaurants of Pebble Beach, the beautiful views of 17 Mile Drive, the natural wonders of Big Sur, and wine tasting and dining in Carmel Valley Village and Santa Cruz to the north.

A secure underground parking garage with one space located underneath the building is available to guests, with an elevator to take you to the upper level.

Living Space
You’ll see expansive bay and city views through both the front and side windows of this corner unit. The spacious living room takes full advantage of this, in addition to the outdoor balcony with bistro seating, a perfect spot to enjoy morning or evening while watching the twinkling lights on the bay.
In the living room there is comfortable leather furniture and a 75-inch HDTV above a wall-set electric fireplace that can be turned on and off, or change colors, with a remote control.
The open floor plan with hardwood floors blends together the living room, kitchen and dining room seamlessly.
A small desk is tucked into the large central hallway near the kitchen.

Kitchen and Dining
The kitchen features quartz counter-tops, European-style modern cabinetry, a walk-in pantry and top-of-the-line Fisher & Pykel stainless steel appliances including a five-burner gas stove and French door refrigerator. A quartz-topped kitchen island with seating for four can also be used as a food prep and serving area, and includes a small sink.
The dining table is in the center of the great room.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Bedroom #1 is a suite featuring picture windows with beautiful views of the bay. Amenities include a California king bed, a 65-inch HDTV, a private balcony with bistro seating, and an indoor seating area next to the windows that is ideal for reading or meditation.
The en suite bathroom includes a walk-in closet, deep soaking tub, and dual sinks. A separate shower, large enough for two people, has a built-in seat and two shower-heads.

Bedroom #2 has a California King bed and a 55-inch HDTV, features similar spectacular views and an en suite bath with a shower.

The den has a high quality queen sleeper sofa and is located adjacent to the half bathroom.
Both full bathrooms are en suite to the primary bedrooms.

Laundry room with washer and dryer.

One reserved parking space is available in the garage below and additional parking is available on the street.

Please note that in 2024 there is an construction project in the lot to the rear of this building. Your ocean view will not be impeded.

This home is a monthly rental and we request that all nights of your stay are within the same calendar month. Some exceptions may be possible, with the approval of our team and the homeowner.
