Overall Comment
An adorable house made our stay perfect for my family. The rooms were a bit compact for our longterm stay, and unfortunately, we encountered some ant problems in the bedrooms. The company promptly sent pest control to address the issue, but regrettably, it wasn't fully resolved. Despite the occasional ant bites, my family had a delightful time overall.

Overall Comment
I wish I never had to leave. I loved my stay! My favorite part of every day was opening the front bay windows. The flowers outside the house were beautiful. The tree in the front yard and the height of the house gives a nice feeling of seclusion. The neighbor in the guest house is so sweet and kind. Downtown Carmel is a short walk. The couch is so comfortable! I spent many evenings on it with the gas fireplace on. Also the big shower was amazing. I absolutely loved my stay and strongly recommend it. Also, I could go on and on about how fabulous the Sanctuary Rental employees are. They honestly provided some of the best customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Yes, they truly were that friendly, kind, and responsive.

A great stay

Overall Comment
There is a lot to like about this home in a peaceful, interesting neighborhood in lovely Carmel. It was great to walk our dog every day and admire the beautiful homes and scenic beauty of the arera. There was an unusual amount of rain during out stay, which led to some power outages, which were thankfully brief, and the homeowners had supplied a powerful flashlight and small lantern that got us through.
The home is bright and well supplied with pretty much almost everything you'd need. The kitchen, as is clear in the photos, is very outdated but the owners have compensated by supplying everything you might need, including food processor, blender, cast iron skillet, Dutch oven and much more.
The fenced yard was great for the dog. The description lists the nearby home as on the back of the property, but in reality is right out the back door, almost attached to the main house. The resident there is pleasant and helpful.
The management company is exceptionally responsive. We did note there were things we thought we needed (like a coat rack) and they brought them right away. The owners do need to have more than one very small dresser for guests who are staying more than just a few days. And a chair in the living room would be welcome since if more than two people are on the couch it's a bit too cozy.
The only issue we had was with the hot tub. The cover was so waterlogged that we could not lift it. When the management company sent someone (big strong guy) he was able to lift it but the hot tub was filled with about a thousand ants. So it was not useable. And the maintenance guy told us the management representative told him they weren't responsible for hot tub maintenance, which is contrary to what the listing says. In any case, it was not possible to use it during our two months there.
But overall we were very happy with the house, the yard, the amenities, the neighborhood and the management firm. We'd recommend it
