Welcome to Belle Folie! Sleeps 4 adults and 1 child. This home rents for a minimum of 30 nights.

Freshly updated main house with optional guest house. Two bedroom, two bathroom main house and two bedroom, to bathroom guest house can be rented together or separately. Each unit sleeps up to four guests.

A newly renovated mid-century marvel surrounded by garden and deck areas awaits guests in Carmel-by-the-Sea, close to everything and yet away from the typical tourist areas in a quiet neighborhood.

The 2-bedroom, 2-bath home featuring wood floors and clean lines is shaded by live oak trees and framed by succulents and lawn. Within, it offers sophisticated cottage décor enhanced by whitewashed open beam ceilings, hardwood floors and the home’s original Carmel stone fireplace. A deck with comfortable patio furniture and privacy fencing add to the serene setting.

It’s just a 10-minute walk to shopping and dining in downtown Carmel, or a few minutes by car to the beach. It’s also a 10-minute drive to local attractions like golf and sightseeing in Pebble Beach®, vintage Victorian homes and monarch butterflies in Pacific Grove, or to historic Cannery Row and the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Upon your arrival you will be greeted with complimentary cheese and wine or sparkling cider, passes to the renowned Spa on the Plaza in downtown Monterey, and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, spa robes and beach gear with everything you need for a day at the beach including chairs, blankets, towels, umbrella and cooler.

The front door entry opens to the living room, which features cozy seating around the wood burning fireplace with Carmel stone surround, an ideal place to gather with friends and family for conversation, reading or watching a 42-inch HDTV. A sleeper sofa is also available. Large windows look out on the garden, planted with drought-tolerant flowers and succulents.

The adjacent kitchen features gray painted cabinetry with soft closures, marble countertops, updated stainless steel appliances including a gas range, generous counter space, a deep farmhouse sink with pull-out faucet, and an adjacent dining area. There’s easy access from the kitchen to the back deck, which has a gourmet gas grill and patio seating, a perfect spot for afternoon barbecues or enjoying a glass of wine in the evenings.

On the other side of the living room is the master bedroom, which includes a king-sized bed, a step-in closet and a bathroom with a tiled shower. In the second bedroom, two twin beds convert to a king as needed, and a nearby bathroom offers a tub/shower combination and adjustable shower head.

A laundry closet features a stacked washer and dryer. Street parking is readily available on the quiet street. A completely separate rear guest house will have a quiet full time tenant and privacy fencing is located between the two units.

Non-shedding, hypoallergenic dogs only may be accommodated at this home (the owners have severe allergies). ***Additional fee for pets***

The Belle Folie was a wonderful experience. The Sanctuary Vacation Rental team was exceptional. The home was comfortable and well appointed. Amazing kitchen and well equipped. We were fortunate to call Belle Folie home for 6 months! We can't wait to return.
