Visitors will find themselves in a golfer’s paradise at this mid-century Pebble Beach® home, with views of nearby greens visible from most rooms of the house, and with several other courses within a few minutes’ drive.

The one-level 1,200-square-foot pet-friendly home in the exclusive Pebble Beach® community can be enjoyed indoors or out, with a flagstone patio offering great views of the Monterey Peninsula County Club golf course and distant ocean views beyond. It’s also within walking distance of the beach and China Rock Vista point, and a few minutes’ drive to Rip Van Winkle Open Space, a strip of forested terrain popular with hikers, joggers, bikers and off-leash dog walkers.

Not only is the MPCC course nearby, but also Poppy Hills, Spanish Bay, and the Pebble Beach® Golf Links. Dining and shopping can also be found in abundance at the Pebble Beach® and Spanish Bay resorts.

The 2-bedroom, 1.5-bath home is also conveniently located just 10 minutes by car from downtown Carmel, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row and Asilomar, and about half an hour from Big Sur.

Living Spaces
Guests entering the front door will find themselves in the living room with tile floors, comfortable sofas surrounding a vintage decorative fireplace filled with battery-operated candles and a 55-inch Samsung Smart UHD TV.
The single-level renovated post-adobe home has whitewashed vaulted ceilings, tiled floors in the kitchen and living room, carpeted bedrooms and large windows throughout that let in plenty of natural light. Eclectic décor reflecting the coastal environment complements the unique character of this residence.

The open floor plan includes the living room, dining area and kitchen that all look out on lovely views of the Monterey Peninsula County Club golf course.

Even better views can be enjoyed from the flagstone patio, which is bordered by moss-covered live oaks and Monterey pines, and has patio seating around a firepit, as well as a gourmet gas barbecue, the perfect place to host afternoon get-togethers or to have a glass of wine in the evenings.

Kitchen and Dining
Inside, a glass dining table near the window features seating for six; there are also two more seats at the adjacent kitchen counter. The fully equipped kitchen (no dishwasher) offers tile countertops, a double sink, a Keurig machine, and a vintage O’Keefe & Merritt four-burner gas stove with a center griddle. Access to the kitchen is available from a side door that opens onto the parking area.
A stacked washer-dryer is also conveniently located in the kitchen.
**Please note, there is no dishwasher in this home.**

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Bedroom #1 looks out on the golf course, and includes a queen bed with wooden headboard and bedding in muted coastal colors, as well as a 43-inch Smart TV. The en suite full bath features a tub/shower with removable shower head, tiled vanity top and tile floor.

Bedroom #2 has two twin beds that can be converted to a split king with foam topper as needed, and is next to a half-bath in the hallway with tiled vanity top, large mirror and plenty of storage space. Please note that the full bath is inside Bedroom #1.

Parking for several vehicles is available in the circular driveway, and a shed is available to store bicycles and beach gear.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum.

The stay is not inclusive of the $12.25 per car, per day Gate Fee to be paid directly to the community of Pebble Beach®. Ask us for details.

The rental was clean, nice location. There is an ongoing issue with ants that should be serviced by an exterminator by using ant bait around the foundation. Spray is not a permanent solution.

Adobe by the Sea was a great location for both Carmel and Monterey/PG. It was comfortable for 2 couples. We loved watching the golf course activity in the mornings before we went exploring during the day.

Rental and location was great. We wanted to do s’mores but the fire pit wasn’t working. Oven didn’t have a large space if you wanted to cook but was fine for us in just using it for breakfast.

what a wonderful spot

We loved our stay at this Pebble Beach property. The location was perfect and the views out the back deck over the golf course were STUNNING. Every night at sunset we would sit sipping our wine watching the deer (including two huge bucks), wild turkeys and bunnies stroll by. It was incredible. What a wonderful spot. I will be back.

We stayed for a full week at Adobe by the Sea, a home in the Del Monte forest Pebble Beach area. The home is on the MPGC golf course and basically on the 17 mile drive. The area is magical. While you are able to walk to beautiful areas you will drive everywhere. The home is dog friendly and we loved that! The backyard is fine (it's the golf course) but having an enclosed area would be nice. The home is comfortable and we really liked it. There are just a few minor things that we feel need to be changed. The property company is great at working with you and we appreciated them. I'd definitely come back and would love to stay longer. You really need to spend some time in the area to 'figure' out all the different things you can do.

Visited the area with my husband and our pup. This rental was just what we needed! The location was great. We enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and checking out 17-mile drive. A quick drive to Monterey and Carmel. Would stay again!

Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The home was in a perfect location with great views of the MPCC golf course. There were plenty of provided amenities including starter sets of laundry detergent, coffee, paper towels, and trash bags. We especially like the hot water supply and the furnace efficiency. The original stove worked great and there was plenty of room for our family of three. The only downside was a lack of a dishwasher, but we knew that ahead of time, so we were prepared. The back patio was wonderful with the BBQ grill and gas firepit to enjoy. Sanctuary was wonderful to work with. The power went out during our stay due to the historic wind/rain storm and Sanctuary brought us a package of battery operated candles, which was a huge game changer for our last night. Thank you!! The staff was very easy to work with, was very responsive to texts and phone calls, and called several times to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay at Adobe by the Sea again!!

Overall, good stay. Very cute, clean place with two bedrooms. Only weird setup was that there is only one shower between the 2 baths. But, easy checkin and checkout, convenient location to Monterrey, Pebble Beach, Carmel and Big Sur locations. Sits on the golf course (?Monterrey Peninsula) if you are around to enjoy the porch. Everything worked and we were not in need of anything extra.

golfers paradise

Overall Comment

Great location with great view to fairway (Monterey Peninsula) inside Pebble Community. Very quiet place. House itself is nice and cosy, we liked it and slept like babies.
But it’s a little bit sloppy, especially outside (terrace, garden, plants, cushions, grill, outside fireplace.... ). We would recommend an improvement by Sanctuary and definitely a parasol at terrace.

cozy stay in pebble beach

My family and I spent four days at the Adobe by the Sea and would recommend this house for two couples or a small family. We had a great time walking through the neighborhood all the way down to Spanish Bay (only a 12 minute walk) and watching the golf from our patio. The home is cozy and well-equipped for short stays. The outdoor patio furniture could use a good cleaning but otherwise home was in good shape. We especially appreciated the bottle of wine and cheese left as a welcome for us! We traveled with our one year old son and the layout of the house was great for him to have his own room while we could enjoy dinner after he went to bed. Sanctuary was responsive throughout our stay and left lots of information behind for us.

perfect location for a family getaway

We absolutely loved the quiet neighborhood surrounded by the golf course. We had an issue checking in at the gate but once I called they immediately resolved the issue and the reservations manager even gave $80 reimbursement for the inconvenience. The home was decorated beautifully and very clean. The kitchen was a tad small-no extra storage to put food but we made it work. The oven is a little tricky-you have to light the stove top and oven with a lighter but once we figured it out it worked just fine.
We really enjoyed the back patio! Beautiful views and very peaceful. We were also within 10-15 mins driving distance to everywhere we wanted to go; aquarium, Cannery Row, Fisherman's Wharf, downtown, Carmel Beach.
We would definitely consider staying here again! Thank you!

sanctuary rentals really goes above and beyond

We rented this house for a long weekend to celebrate my dad’s 70th birthday and we were all impressed at how well-appointed the house was. Most vacation rentals provide the bare minimum in kitchen utensils, towels, disposables (TP, trash bags etc) but Sanctuary Rentals really goes above and beyond to make this house just like home. The kitchen is beyond fully stocked; you could prepare any kind of meal or even bake cakes in this place without bringing any equipment from home. The beds are comfy, and although the house is small, there is plenty of room for a family to sit and hang out in the living and dining rooms, and the outside area is huge. My dad is an avid golfer and really enjoyed the view out onto the fairway at MPCC. My only complaint is that although it is a dog-friendly property the yard isn’t fenced in. Not a huge deal but it would have been nice to not have to leash the pup for potty breaks. It’s a small detail and I would gladly rent this house again the next time I’m in Monterey.

amazing location at a great rate

We LOVED staying in Pebble Beach, right on a golf course. We had deer and quail visitors in the neighborhood which my child was really excited about. Such a beautiful location with east access to Carmel-by-the-Sea, Pacific Grove and the Monterey Bay Aquarium, right off of 17 Mile Drive, and hiking/outdoor activities (we went to Point Lobos). Not cheap but a great price for the location, and although we ended up going out to eat for all of our meals (so many great restaurants in the area!), the kitchen and dining area were nice. (We did enjoy wine and cheese/snacks out on the patio though which was lovely). The only downside was that the bedroom with the en-suite (which has the shower/tub) has the smaller bed. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location with golfcourse view. Carpet and rugs needed cleaning. No dish washer was a headache. Only one full bath, which had no mirror over sink was inconvenient. Probably a litte expensive for what you get. Management company was very helpful.
