Sanctuary Vacation Rentals is proud to present "Butterfly Cottage"! This home sleeps up to 4 guests - either 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

This cozy, furnished 848 sf cottage, set back from the street on a large, grassy lot, has been completely updated and is new on the rental market. This is a monthly rental but starting September 2024 the home will be available for extended stays of one year+ at $3500/mo plus utilities with a signed lease agreement.

This is the perfect place to base your visit to the Monterey Peninsula! Walk to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, historic Cannery Row and restaurants and attractions in Pacific Grove. Hop in the car to explore Santa Cruz to the north and Big Sur to the south or to visit nearby Carmel-by-the-Sea or play golf in Pebble Beach.

Enjoy glimpses of the bay from multiple rooms in the home and the outdoor patio area.
Enter through the gate of the low, white picket fence lining the front of the property. The yard is fully fenced.

Graceful butterfly art is mounted over the front door, reminding guests that they are staying in "Butterfly Town USA". The home is located just a short drive from the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary in Pacific Grove.

Living Spaces
The living areas and kitchen are adorned with new flooring and paint making them feel very fresh and cheerful. Well-equipped for extended stays!

A charming foyer welcomes guests. Adorned by colors of the sea, it's a great place to kick off your shoes and begin enjoying your coastal getaway. Flanked by windows on three sides, it's a warm, sunny place to enjoy a cup of tea, read and relax on the settee.

The living room has a comfortable sofa with chaise arranged near the wood stove and wifi-enabled Smart TV (no cable) making for a cozy movie nights using your own streaming subscriptions or a few free apps that are also available on the TV. Subtle ocean-themed accessories throughout the home set the tone for this sweet beach house. A beloved vintage record player and a small collection of vinyl albums are on hand to add a special soundtrack to your stay.

Kitchen and Dining
The delightful kitchen has new stainless steel appliances and a large sink. Blending old and new seamlessly, the new appliances contrast nicely with colorful cabinetry and vintage pieces. Please note that there is no dishwasher in this kitchen. A drip coffee maker with a built-in grinder is set up at the coffee bar for your morning brew. A small rattan table and chairs for two are tucked into the corner.
A dedicated dining room with a table for 4-6 lies between the kitchen and living rooms. This sunny room has many windows looking out onto the lawn area in front of the home where it is not unusual to see groups of grazing deer.
Step outside to the patio to dine al fresco in the sea breeze.

A small bonus room off the kitchen holds a writing desk and chair situated in front of a window facing the bay and also cleverly tucks a stacked washer and dryer into the corner along with laundry supplies.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Bedroom #1 - King bed with quality linens and a full closet. Vintage pieces and whimsical art make this a unique, restful space.
Bedroom #2 - Queen day bed with quality linens that sleeps one adult or two children.
The bathroom has a shower-over-tub combination.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum.

Easy street parking in front of the house.

This home is a monthly rental but extended stays of 1+ year are possible starting June 2024 at $3500/month. Tenant is responsible for all utilities including WiFi for long term rentals. Owner pays sewer and landscape maintenance.
